  • 17, OFF ROAD EQUIPMENT
    As many of you already realize, we are the G.G.P.A.. That stands for the Georgia Gold Propectors Association. That means our primary function is Gold prospecting in the Forests or High Desert. Gold deposits are where they lay. Regretfully we "DO NOT" provide paved roads, curbs, street lights or bath houses with running water and electric. If we were to do such a thing we would then be called the "KOA". For a small sum of $89.95/yr we provide a safe and secure area in many locations where a family can go off into the forest and enjoy themselves. 75% of our claims are for primitive camping, no motor home or travel trailer access, 25% DO HAVE Rv access and parking available. Reguardless of vehicle this is a list of reccommended off road equipment.
  • 1, A good tow strap 20 feet
  • 2, a come-a-long at least a 1 ton capability.
  • 3, at least 1 spare tire per/vehicle including the towed vehilcle too.
  • 4, at least 1 length of 5/8" log binder chain 10' in length
  • 5, a spare can [approved dot] of fuel/gasoline
  • 6, the basic hand tools wrenches and such for emergency vehicle repairs
  • 7, earth working tools ie; shovel/ax/bucksaw
  • 8, a basic but "GOOD" First Aid Kit [including snake bite]
  • 9, spare flashlite batteries
  • 10, compass
  • OPTIONAL ITEMS;
  • 1, cell phone
  • 2, cb radio
  • 3, GPS
    95% of our member rescue efforts are due to members with out these nessessary items in their equipment supply bin. Please, make sure you obtain these items at your earliest convienence. It could make the difference between a pleasant trip and a complete nightmare.

  • 18, Membership is for 1 [one] year from sign up [initiation] date. Members have a 30 day grace period to re-new their membership. After the 30 day grace period your membership number will be given to a New Member. Your Membership ID Card is the PROPERTY of the G.G.P.A. AND MUST BE RETURNED.

  • 19, Concerning ATV Vehicles, atv's are permitted on GGPA CLAIMS. Providing the user stays on marked trails and roads. Cross country Baja riding/racing is "NOT PERMITTED", Atv's cause serious erosion effects on the enviornment.

  • 20, No special privledges or favors are given to any person or persons. All GGPA Members are held to the same standard of Rules and regs.

  • 21,The excavated material on the Beards Branch Claim in the immediate Trommel operations area, is for GGPA COMMOMN TROMMEL DIGS ONLY. Any person or persons found digging or removing that specific material while not on a GGPA COMMON DIG. Will be escorted from the property, their membership will be immediately revoked and they will not be given any opportunity to appeal the decision.
  • 22, We do not offer walkabouts or try outs on our claims. If it is your choice to join us, we'd expect that you have reviewed the website thoroughly and made your decision. You as a prospective member can call us at 770-573-0153 or visit our forum board for further information.
